9:30am What is a Family, Anyway?

Introductions and overview of the Conference content.

Meet the Botkin family and find out how each member of the family is part of the family institution. The conference is designed to be less like bunch of lectures, and more like a visit into the home of a family who have entertained and discipled hundreds of American families over a period of three decades. See how this family works together to find the importance of the Biblical family and is discovering how it fits into the world of business, church, politics, recreation, entertainment, hospitality and education. You will see a live “snapshot” of a family with older children working together to prepare for the establishment of more families.

10:00am The Father and Biblical Leadership - Geoffrey Botkin

What does a father-led home look like? In this lecture, Geoffrey Botkin will be examining the controversies of Patriarchy through the lens of Scripture, defining the duties of leadership and exposing the myths, misunderstandings and mistakes associated with the concept of patriarchy.

10:45am Q & A with Geoffrey and Victoria Botkin

This is your chance to interact with the Botkin family. Bring questions. You can submit questions in writing all through the day. It may also be possible to ask questions publicly by microphone.

11:15am Break

Ten breaks are important parts of this conference. Here families will meet other families with similar concerns, objectives, and goals for the future. Invest the time carefully to allow Providential meetings to happen that can change the course of history. This is one of the primary reasons the Botkin family organizes these conferences – to facilitate the meeting to families who may not otherwise find one another. Use all ten breaks wisely!

What can parents, brothers and sisters do to be more Christ-like in the home, truly enjoying one of the most privileged relationships created by God? How are brothers and sisters supposed to love one another? How does it work when children become adults?

Is America deserving of God’s wrath and, if so, how much and at what intensity? What is the duty of godly men to warn all men of national punishment for collective guilt? Is America at war with God, unresponsive to His correction? This lecture gets to the heart of the single greatest concern of American Christian fathers. 4:00pm Strong Families, Weak Churches, Uncertain Pastors and the Next Stage of The Great ReformationGeoffrey Botkin

Back in the 1980s, American churches began experimenting with professional pragmatism to pull in more visitors. Youth programs were hip, but “cool” didn’t strengthen families, the Faith, or fruitfulness in disciplemaking. What can parents do when churches are not healthy environments for children? The answers are not difficult, and can be thrilling to pastors, churches, and young people of all ages. Families can help very directly in the solution America is looking for. This lecture answers the question, “what can we do after popular culture has compromised our children?”

Want to know some secrets about how and when the Botkin family watches movies? Find out in this lecture. Botkin “movie nights” have become legendary and wall-wall events at the family home in Texas. Get a taste for what goes on as Mr. Botkin picks up the remote and guides viewers into a world of discernment using a movie made by the undiscerning.
