| 4:00pm | Strong Families, Weak Churches, Uncertain Pastors and the Next Stage of The Great Reformation – Geoffrey Botkin
Back in the 1980s, American churches began experimenting with professional pragmatism to pull in more visitors. Youth programs were hip, but “cool” didn’t strengthen families, the Faith, or fruitfulness in disciplemaking. What can parents do when churches are not healthy environments for children? The answers are not difficult, and can be thrilling to pastors, churches, and young people of all ages. Families can help very directly in the solution America is looking for. This lecture answers the question, “what can we do after popular culture has compromised our children?” |
